Its score has decreased by 2.9 points from last year, reflecting deteriorations in six of the 10 economic freedoms including labor freedom, monetary freedom, trade freedom, and freedom from corruption. Iran is ranked last out of 15 countries in the Middle East/North Africa region, and its overall score is well below the world and regional averages.
