Mohammad Yousef Rashid teaches “Leveraging Elections for Issue-Based Advocacy ” at Tavaana. He holds a bachelor’s degree in law and political science from Kabul University. He has extensive experience in capacity-building planning and management, and teaches various courses on resource building for elections and democracy. He is the current chief executive of the Institute for Free and Fair Election Forum of Afghanistan. Recently, he was elected as Afghanistan’s civil society organization representative on the Selection Committee for the Members of Afghanistan Election Commissions. Prior to his present positions, Rashid was active with the National Democratic Institute (NDA) for six years in various fields, such as managing NDI’s election programmes as well as a researcher for the Afghan Constitution Commission. He has participated in numerous international symposia and conferences and served in various election monitoring missions.
