This three-part report, written by the International Labor Organization, is a global call to action to protect children from hazardous work. The first section of the report provides a general overview of the issue of hazardous work. The following section presents detailed research evidence regarding hazardous work and initiatives to address it. In the final section, a conceptual framework for a coordinated, comprehensive effort to stop children from entering hazardous work is provided. The reportstresses that addressing this problem is not only a technical issue and appeals for public policies that address the root causes of child labor including poverty and lack of education and social protection.
