In its annual Internet Enemies index, Reporters Without Borders identifies 12 countries that are “enemies to the Internet” and 14 others that are “under surveillance.” For each country, including Iran, the report provides an overview of the arrests, death sentences, and inhumane treatment carried out in response to online activities. Internet Enemies also reports on restrictive ICT regulations, Internet censorship, and government collaboration with companies for censorship and surveillance equipment.
