In July 2012, Human Rights Council adopted resolution 20/8 on the promotion, protection and enjoyment of human rights on the Internet. The resolution affirms “that the same rights that people have offline must also be protected online, in particular freedom of expression, which is applicable regardless of frontiers and through any media of one’s choice.”

Even though classes on topics such as computers and network security are usually dry, I found this class to be interesting and full of useful information. Time seemed to fly by when we were in class. Although the booklets and lessons are advanced, they are also very clear and straightforward.
