Abbas Hakimzadeh is a prominent Iranian student activist who has served as chief editor of AUT (Amir Kabir University of Technology) News and served on the board of the largest student website in Iran, DaneshjooNews. He has been arrested three times: for his student activism at Tehran's Polytechnic University, his work on a website that published news about the government's human rights violations, and for his activities with Daftar-e Tahkim Vahdat (the Office for Strengthening Unity). Abbas Hakimzadeh currently works for Cisco Systems in California.
