Ahmad Rafat is an Iranian-Italian journalist who has covered more than 50 conflicts, wars, and revolutions in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. He has been a speaker at various international conferences on topics such as terrorism, Islam, and freedom of expression. Rafat currently works with Voice of America - Persian News Network, covering Italy and other European countries. He has published two books in Italy about Iran: The Last Spring and Iran: The Revolution Online. He is now working on new books: one on the relationship between Islam and the West, one on women in Iran, and one on Iran under the Ahmadinejad presidency. He made his directorial debut with the documentary Devoured Sons of the Khomeini's Revolution.
