The Manual on the Effective Investigation and Documentation of Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment was prepared in 2004 by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. The manual goes through the international standards against torture in detail in addition to legal investigations of torture.
