For the People, By the People: How Open Data Drives Innovation

In this lecture, Todd Park describes the power of open data to inspire creative analysis, uses, and transformations, and to deliver benefits to the public such as transparency and accountability.

Todd Park is the United States Chief Technology Officer and serves as an Assistant to the President. In this role, he leads the search for innovative uses of technology that make government more open and transparent. He was previously Chief Technology Officer of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, where he led a drive to make government data accessible to the public.
