Although the HIV/AIDS epidemic worldwide has stabilized, the number of cases continues to rise in some countries . This toolkit responds to the fact that rapidly, increasing numbers of trade unions now have taken on the responsibility of creating HIV/AIDS policies and awareness programs. The toolkit aims to support trade unions in HIV/AIDS prevention work and includes exercises and learning activities in addition to case studies of trade union action examples. . It also presents an overview of the new ILO recommendations regarding HIV/AIDS.
